The Institutional Digital Repository of the Joint Military College (FMC) was created in 2015 in accordance with the Open Access policies established by Law 26899, with the intention to collect, preserve, and disseminate the intellectual output of affiliated academic institutions, thus contributing to increase visibility of their academic and scientific production, allowing also to fulfill the mission to share knowledge at national and international levels.

On November 25, 2024, by Decree No. 34/2024, the FMC updated its operating regulations to adapt to the new organization of the FMC and reaffirm that it will be managed with open access technology and publicly available, free software.

FMC has an inclusive vision for all university institutions that are part of it, and promotes the participation of those that voluntarily desire to join as Communities within the repository, for which FMC offers the experience and advice of its qualified members.
